Terms of Service
Last updated: November 9, 2026
These terms cover your use of Buddy - VJ CUE BOT ("the software"), provided by madeinzero, an independent developer based in Taiwan. By installing or buying the software, you agree to them.
Orders
Orders are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem's own terms apply to the payment.
License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software, including for commercial live shows. One license can be active on 2 computers at a time. You may not share your license key publicly, resell it, or try to bypass the license checks.
Plans
- Free plan and trial. Each computer gets one 72-hour full trial. After that the free plan fires the 8 earliest cues automatically.
- 7-Day Pass. A one-time payment. The 7 days start at payment, not at first use, and the pass does not renew.
- Monthly. Renews automatically each month until you cancel. After you cancel, the license stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Buyout. A one-time payment for use with no expiry. It includes updates released in the 12 months after purchase. The latest version released in that period stays yours.
Refunds
Please use the 72-hour trial to confirm the software works with your setup before you buy.
- Buyout and first monthly payment: you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- 7-Day Pass and monthly renewals: not refundable, unless the software fails to work because of a fault we cannot resolve.
Email us to request a refund. A refunded license key stops working. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
Requirements
The software needs Resolume Arena, purchased separately, and an internet connection to activate and check licenses. A paid license can run offline for up to 72 hours between checks. The software is an independent product, not affiliated with Resolume, and changes to Arena may affect how it works.
No warranty
The software is provided as is. Live shows depend on many things outside our control, so please test your full setup before every show and keep a manual fallback. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a cancelled or interrupted show, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the software.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post the new version here. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections in your country.
